Formed in Rio de Janeiro on 1985 by Otavio Augusto (vocals), Claudio Bezz (guitar), Jean (bass) and Sergio Bezz (drums), the band released on the following year the album Sign Of Taurus, which had excellent nationwide repercussions. In 1988, with Jeziel in the place of Otavio, they release Trapped In Lies,
which consolidated for once the band's name in the national metal
scene, with shows all across the country. With the same formation, they
launch Pornography, which comes with a simple and straightforward sound.
With the decline of Thrash Metal, the band goes out of business,
returning fifteen years after and relaunching all their previous albums
on CD.
We can say this is one of the most successful returns, as the band has
been playing often and is preparing to release a new album, taking part
also in the documentary "Brasil Heavy Metal ", with their new material.
Currently the band has the following lineup: Jeziel (vocals / bass), Claudio Bezz (guitar), Otavio Augusto (vocals) and Sergio Bezz (drums).
Check out the interview with the guitarist Claudio Bezz, which speaks of the present, past and future - which seems to be the culmination of the quartet.

The Rocker: Hello
my friends! It is a pleasure to interview you! Ill start by asking
about the return of the band after more than a decade apart. How the
contacts about this return started and what the members of Taurus did
in this 'gap'.
Claudio Bezz: We were always
around each other. We have a great friendship and it wasnt because we
stop playing together in the 90s that it would be different. I, Sergio
(my brother) and Jean lived in the same building, here in Niteroi,
which incidentally is our Bay Area . When we received the invitation
from Marquee Records in 2006 for the relaunch of our albums on
remastered CDs, celebrating 20 years of the band, we were very pleased
and happy. It came across a wish that we had, but never implemented.
After the revival of the first album Sign Taurus, we began to receive
many messages from fans old and new. We found that there was a
community dedicated to the Taurus on Orkut and it impressed us enough.
We decided to arrange a test just to see what would happen ... and
literally caught fire! In those 15 years of hiatus each was living his
life working and studying. In my case, I am a "full time" musician,
working on studio, teaching and living 24 hours by music.
